Thu 17 Sep | Frontin’ @ Joshua Brooks
This Thursday sees the return of a Joshua Brooks’ favourite in the shape of Frontin’. The tropically tinged crew have gained a devoted following over the years, and they’ll be sure to reach for a night of dancehall, soca and UK funky. This month is a resident-only affair, and that is not bad thing – J-Rus, Bacchanal Ronin and Orfan are all super capable selectors.

Fri 18 Sep | So Flute (pictured) @ The Ruby Lounge
So Flute bring the legendary Mr Bongo record label to Manchester in the shape of the Mr Bongo Soundsystem. World-renowned for their dusty fingers and the resulting re-issues of forgotten classics, expect the unexpected, from all four corners of the globe. Residents Werkha (of Tru Thoughts fame), Danuka, Bolts and Yadava & Baloo will be holding things down from early, with the inimitable Kwasi on mic duties.

Sat 19 Sep | Swing Ting @ Soup Kitchen
We’re back at Soup Kitchen after a super successful run of summer events, and this time we’re bringing back Brackles – always a favourite with the ST regulars. A DJ truly at the top of his game, nobody’s better at blending classic garage, afrobeats and upfront club bits than this guy. This month’s resident line-up features the mighty Samrai and Joey B (and myself) with Fox, the best host in the city. It’s only a fiver, too.
