Beer lovers: Blackjack and Runaway Brewtap
Two of Manchester’s finest independent breweries are teaming up as Blackjack and Runaway join forces for a super special seasonal Brewtap. Born over a few beers at Blackjack run pub The Smithfield, the teams are combining their collective expertise to bring us a Christmas Brewtap Extravaganza. With both breweries providing old friends and old favourites, a food lineup from GRUB MCR and music organised the delightful Goff Mgoff it should be a jolly old knees-up.

Cane and Grain bourbon thanksgiving special
Thomas Street’s Cane & Grain has teamed up with Wild Turkey bourbon to organise their very own special Thanksgiving Grain Club. Wild Turkey cocktails will be flowing all night to accompany American classics such as smoked turkey breast, roasted yams, stuffing, rosemary and thyme mac and cheese, gravy and roast potatoes, and the whole delicious affair will be rounded off with pumpkin and cinnamon pie, chocolate brownie and key lime pie. If you like the sound of that lot, you better book in advance.

The Parlour’s Thanksgiving Special
Chorlton’s Parlour is a regular winner of OFM’s Best Roast in the UK award – so where better to enjoy a thanksgiving dinner with friends. This is the first time Parlour chefs will have made a Turkey roast, having made thousands of Sunday roasts of beef and pork over the past five years they have been open and guest can enjoy all the trimmings including onion and apricot stuffing and homemade cranberry sauce. Diverting from their usual policy people can to book tables or just turn up. Two-courses cost £18.25, three are £21.95.

Drunken Butcher gets festive with a slew of Christmas supper clubs
Manchetster chef Iain Devine, better known as the Drunken Butcher, is inviting you to join him in an intimate setting to tuck into his festive supper clubs. Although he is hosting four nights of festive fare, space is limited and tickets usually go fast. So if you want to learn something new, forget about making tea and make some new friends at the same time you better make room in your busy end-of-year social diary and book a place. Do it.

Winter Wonderland afternoon tea at Cloud 23
The team at the Hilton’s Cloud 23 are doing their best to tempt you in from the cold, away from your Christmas shopping to treat yourself to some a little luxury and relaxation amid all the madness. Their Winter Wonderland Afternoon Tea offers an assortment of treats from warm whisky hot chocolate, mince pies, stollen, mulled wine jelly, brie & red onion-marmalade sandwich and mushroom duxelle tart to name but a few. On top of this, the whole lot is served with the bespoke ‘White Blizzard’ cocktail made up of white port, lemon juice, pear liqueur and homemade spiced syrup.
