TV chefs host charity Banana Leaf Banquet
Award-winning TV chefs are joining forces in March to host an Indian-inspired supperclub in Chorlton. MasterChef finalist Jackie Kearney and Debbie Halls-Evans, winner of Channel 4’s The Taste, have put together a three-course dinner featuring a thali banquet, with beer pairings courtesy of Blackjack and Alphabet Breweries. There’s an altruistic agenda to the evening too – all proceeds go to two charities, Bombay Teen Challenge, which supports street children in India, and RECLAIM, a Manchester-based charity aimed at empowering the city’s youth.
Mon 2 Mar, The Beagle, 458 Barlow Moor Road, Chorlton, M21 0BQ, 7pm & 9pm, £29, www.eventbrite.co.uk
