Cornerhouse Manchester welcomes acclaimed British film legend and director Mike Leigh for a Q&A session following a preview screening of his latest movie, Mr. Turner.  Earlier this year Timothy Spall collected the Best Actor award at the Cannes Film Festival for his portrayal of the titular character; a performance that has received a substantial amount of Academy Award speculation, and one that has argueably reenergised Spall’s career. Leigh is perhaps best known for films such as Vera Drake, Another Year, Naked and Secrets & Lies. This new film sees the 71-year-old director crafting a biographical drama that follows the exploits of a radical, visionary yet flawed individual who crashed into the early 1800s art scene. Tickets go on sale Tuesday 14 October at 9am.
