Following a successful exhibition at London’s Neu Gallery, the celebrated artist, DJ and recording artist, Justin Robertson, will be bringing his exhibition – Everything is Turbulence –  to Manchester’s Electrik bar in Chorlton. As an extension of his latest musical work, which goes by the same name, this collection of paintings draws together a whole array of supernatural inspirations, including: mid 20th century science, stone-age cave painting, folk art, the trashy covers of sci-fi fiction of the 1960s and 1970s and ancient Greek myth. With echoes of the semi-abstract, dream-like painting of Francis Bacon, and a touch of surrealism, Justin’s style is far from conventional. For the launch night, former Manc resident Justin will be DJing alongside legendary local, Richard Hector-Jones.

Wed 15-Wed 22 Apr, Electrik Bar, 559, Wilbraham Road, Chorlton, M21 0AE. Tel: 0161 861 9558. Opening night, Wed 15 Apr, 8pm – late, other times vary, FREE, www.facebook.com
