Manchester’s industrial background has inspired a major new bar and restaurant opening in September. The Store Street Exchange and the Store Street Craft Bar will come to the ground floor of the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, near Piccadilly station. Its design takes a cue from the area’s historic exchange of goods and its industrial identity. The regionally-sourced menu will centre on a rotisserie and grill, with steaks on offer alongside salads, quick bites and puddings. The restaurant can also be used for semi-private meeting spaces. Meanwhile, the Craft Bar lets Manchester’s own breweries and microbreweries take the lead, with a brand new entrance on London Road complete with outdoor seating. Opening is expected in late September.
