Expanding across Eccles town centre and Church Street, there’ll be summer treats as far as the eye can see at the latest Makers Market. As one of the newer Makers Markets in the North West having launched in June, the blank canvas has been filled with fresh ideas to create a lively day out for all the family. It’s as hands-on as you’d like it to be – you can chat with stallholders to learn firsthand about their arts and crafts, be it in bakery by Hot Stuffed or French Corner, jewellery by POG Handmade, My Heart’s Reflection or Chakra Christal, soaps by Signature Soaps, art and design by Bratling Designs or No 71 Legend Rooms, furniture for your home or garden, or a range of vintage goodies. Or simply relax in the summer sun while digesting your pick of the street foodies – we’d recommend Wood Fire and Smoke’s pizzas, The Perfect Samosa, paellas (Mamma Sue’s) or Turkish cuisine (The Ottomen) followed by summer fruit salads at Have A Banana or cakes lovingly baked by Molly Gray’s or Magnificant Cake Co – and listening to live performances by local musicians and DJs. There’s plenty more besides, so set aside your Saturday to explore.
