Funkademia’s festival of funk, house and soul was already pretty hot (read our preview) but they’ve added even more great Mancunian vibes to the Funkademia de la Sol line up on the idyllic Cala Vadella beach in Ibiza. It’s just been announced that mid-way through the five day festival, Manchester’s longest running clubnight, Funkademia, will team up with the city’s most loved party purveyors, Electric Chair for a massive day to night session on Friday 19 May. Guest DJs from the Chair will be Luke Cowdrey and Justin Crawford – aka the Unabombers – and they’ll be hosting a day time pool party. As sunset falls, there will be an evening beach set, following by a proper, old school Electric Chair rave on the golden isle. And that’s not all. On Saturday (20 May), the party will move to Savannah Beach Club on Ibiza’s sunset strip for a massive sundown session.
