To Kill A King bring songs from their latest, eponymously titled album to the Deaf Institute on Sunday 8 March. The five-piece, who originally formed in Leeds in 2009 under the name Kid iD and are now based in London, signed to Xtra Mile Recordings – home to Frank Turner and The Maybes? – in 2013 to re-release their debut, Cannibals With Cutlery. Over the past five years, To Kill A King have drawn comparisons to Frightened Rabbit, Interpol and The National, among others. Listen to their latest video, Love Is Not Control, below. We’ve got a pair of tickets to give away to Sunday’s show. To be in with a chance of winning, send the answer to the question below – with your name, age and Twitter handle – in an email with the subject line ‘To Kill A King competition’ to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk. We’ll contact the winner by email after the deadline of 5pm on Friday 6 March.
