First Chop Brewing Arm proves its versatility as an events space yet again as it transforms into a club venue when Mad Mats returns to the Better Days night this Friday. Back after its popular Soul Train-themed parties in and around the city last year, dancers are invited to enjoy eclectic soulful sounds from the Stockholm DJ and record label boss who is going freestyle this time around. Manchester’s Tomson will be warming up for the Local Talk co-founder, kicking off the anything goes vibe in style.

Fri 27 Feb, First Chop Brewing Arm, Unit 3, Trinity Row, Trinity Way, Salford, M3 5EN, 10pm – 3am, £10 adv, www.partyforthepeople.org.uk
