It’s that awkward time of year again when the summer festivals are long gone but it’s still just a little too early to face thinking about Christmas celebrations. Thankfully, Halloween is there to add a bit of light to the cold, dark nights and this year is as full of frightful fun as ever. While it’s probably best to leave the trick or treating to the kids, here are some just as exciting treats to scare yourselves silly with this Halloween.

Certificate X Halloween Special at 2022NQ
No Halloween would be complete without a horror movie marathon that will have you checking under your bed for nights and Certificate X definitely deliver with a programme filled with blood, gore and cannibalism. Heading up the evening is the ‘mother of all banned films’ and cabin-in-the-woods horror classic The Evil Dead, while psycho-slasher Nightmare Maker will keep you on edge in preparation of the final film – yet to be screened in the UK – which promises to be just as ‘nasty’ as the rest of the line-up.

Zombie Pride at Islington Mill (pictured)
Zombie Pride returns to take over Islington Mill for another fierce and drag-tastic monster bash. Try your hand at ‘gore couture’ with a Zombie Catwalk Face Off, catch sets by Kurt Dirt (who will be performing an intimate set in the toilets – yes, really) and Syd.31 and then dance ‘til you’re dead as Tranarchy residents, Zhom Docking (Drunk at Vogue), The Niallist, Pam Van-Damned and Midnight Growler take to the decks in serious style.
