Robot Orchestra, Noisy Toys & more: MakeFest2016 at Musuem of Science and Industry
Head down to MSI over two days and get involved in crafting, coding, toy making and more. We particularly like the look of Noisy Toys workshop as well as minecraft events and a real-life robot orchestra. The weekend is suitable for all ages – just drop in.

Circus skills: Brush up with Wild Rumpus at Dunham Massey
The talented performers who work with Wild Rumpus (A Day at the Lake, Just So Festival) bring free workshops to Dunham Massey estate, just 12 miles from Manchester city centre. Head down to the popular National Trust-owned house and estate, complete with award winning ornamental gardens, and deer, and learn how to tightrope walk or hula with the experts. Suitable for all ages.

Sponges, sock puppets and bear hunts: Z Arts summer programme
Head down to young people’s creative hub Z-Arts in Hulme this summer for some extraordinary fun. Highlights include an immersive sponge experience for 6month-4year olds (Mon 15-Thu 18 Aug), a bear hunt at the Lowry Outlet Mall for all ages with Z-Arts (Sat 26 Aug) and a sock puppet workshop for 7 year olds and over (Wed 31 Aug).
