Hit&Run bring together a triumvirate of UK heroes, with two of grime’s leading lights joined by a veteran of the drum and bass scene. Spyro is one of grime’s leading producers and his 2016 has been massive, boasting production for Stormzy on his resume, alongside one of the year’s biggest anthems – Topper Top, featuring Teddy Bruckshot, Lady Chann and Killa P. Capo Lee, himself a Spyro collaborator, is right at the forefront of the new breed of grime MCs. Kenny Ken is no stranger to H&R – always a welcome addition to any of their bills, and perfect for those who like things a little bit faster.

Thu 1 Dec – Channel One @ Antwerp Mansion
Sound system generals Channel One head up a night of top reggae sounds at the Mansion. Paving the way for many a system in the UK, Channel One are foundational, with Mikey Dread selecting the best in dub, steppers and conscious sounds. They’ll be joined on the night by Ring The Alarm Records and Staturre.

Sat 3 Dec – Wet Play @ The White Hotel
A highlight of the raving calendar, Wet Play’s Christmas parties are legendary and this one looks set to be no different. On top of a super-special live performance from Italy’s Panoram – a vaporwave-ish producer whose Everyone is a Door album caught many ears in 2014, there’ll be plenty of audio/visual delights, provided by the likes of Full Beam! Hydrofoil, Cerberus Future Technologies and the one and only Ruf Dug. With things going on until 6am, it’s probably wise to cancel your Sunday plans for this one.

Fri 9 Dec – DJ Die & Mr Thing @ Band On The Wall
The third instalment of MC DRS’ Summit operation features two extremely heavyweight DJs on headline duties. Founder of Full Cycle Recordings, DJ Die is a fundamental part of DnB history – with membership of Breakbeat Era, and Reprazent (alongside Roni Size) on his CV. Mr Thing is considered one of the country’s finest crate-diggers and turntablists – expect plenty of breaks, hiphop classics and curveballs. Rounding off the lineup is Digital Soundboy’s Dismantle, no stranger to a massive bassline.

Thu 15 Dec – Levelz @ The Warehouse Project
Celebrating 3 years of the Manchester supergroup, LVL25 sees the rowdiest members of the city’s music scene take over WHP for a night that’s sure to live long in the memory. Expect antics all night from Chimpo, Chunky, Skittles and co. as they party to mark what has probably been their strongest year yet. They’ll be joined by a whole heap of crew, including Dub Phizix & Strategy, Zed Bias & Trigga and the excellent Children of Zeus.

Tue 27 Dec – Electric Chair presents… End of Year Riot @ Mantra Warehouse
A fixture of Manchester ravers’ end of year for years and rightfully so, the 2016 edition of the Chair’s EOYR is going to be a very special one. There’s something for everyone here, with Jon K, Maurice Fulton, The Unabombers, a secret guest headliner and a million more playing records throughout new venue Mantra’s 3 rooms.
