2. Group guitar lessons & more at Band on the Wall
Band on the Wall has some great courses lined up this year, including group and one to one guitar lessons, a Irish folk group course, which includes a performance, as well as the Golden Voices community choir for the over 50s and baby sessions too.

3. Mushroom foraging in the Peak District (or Sweden, pic)
Learn to forage for wild mushrooms with husband and wife team, Get Funghi. These guys supply wild mushrooms to delis around the UK and also run mushroom foraging expeditions on the Swedish island of Orust. That’s our summer holiday sorted then.

4. Roller Derby for Beginners at Oldham’s Thunderdome
Want to have fun and make some new friends? Pop along to Rainy City Roller Derby beginners sessions – starting Monday 9 January 2017. No equipment needed, just turn up.

7. Beginners bouldering at Rock Over Climbing behind Victoria Station
