Shelagh Delaney’s, The House That Jack Built, will be shown for the first time since its initial 1977 BBC TV broadcast at Affleck’s Three Minute Theatre in the Northern Quarter. The six-hour series stars Duggie Brown, as known for his role in Ken Loach’s classic Kes, alongside Sharon Duce and looks at the trials and tribulations of married life over a ten-year period. Fans of Salford-born Delaney range from Morrissey to Maxine Peake, and this is rare opportunity to see this ‘lost’ work in full.

Sat 26 Nov, Three Minute Theatre, Afflecks Arcade, 35-39 Oldham Street, M4 1PW, Manchester, 12.30pm-4.30pm, £5, www.maryquaileclub.wordpress.com.
