American baroque pop octet San Fermin mark the release of a deluxe edition of their 2015 LP, Jackrabbit, with a special two-date UK visit. The band, whose name is shared with a Spanish bull running festival, have recently toured their native US with Alt-J, and their uplifting, heart string-tugging harmonies can be neatly filed alongside the Leeds quartet. By stepping out on their own headlining slots, the Brooklyn songsmith Ellis Ludwig-Leone (pictured) and his band will be making an effervescent indie-pop statement to lose yourself in, with the Deaf Institute the destination and soaring chamber pop the journey. We have a pair of tickets to give away for the Manchester show. To win, send the answer to the question below in an email to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk with the subject line ‘San Fermin competition’. Be sure to include your name, age, phone number and Twitter handle. The competition closes at midnight on Monday 9 November, and we’ll notify the winner by email.
