As a co-production between Complicite and the National Theatre, the world premiere of A Pacifist’s Guide to the War on Cancer is a highlight of HOME Manchester’s Autumn 2016 season. Directed by artist Bryony Kimmings (previous work includes tracing an STI to source) this theatrical work is based on Kimming’s book of the same name and explores the realities of an illness which despite affecting many lives, remains taboo and shrouded in secrecy. Offering an unconventional exploration into living with cancer, the production follows five stories, each confronting the highs and lows of living with the disease.
