Whether it’s a Christmas classic, a modern blockbuster or something that all the family love, Christmas At The Drive-in have got something for everyone this Winter at their Manchester Old Trafford site. With films screening from 4pm-11pm in the week and noon-11pm at the weekends, it’s the perfect place to take some time to sit back, relax and get in the Christmas spirit at this year you won’t even need a car to attend thanks to their new igloo viewing pods. Love Actually | Thu 26 Nov | 8pm | From £38.50

One for the romance fans – or simply for people who enjoy seeing Hugh Grant on a gigantic, high definition screen – Love Actually is a classic Christmas film, full of multiple heartwarming love stories and a star-studded cast with big names like Colin Firth, Kiera Knightley and many more. One of the first films showings at the drive-in cinema, it’s not one to miss and will definitely leave you with a bit of Christmas cheer as the festive season settles in.

Die Hard | Fri 27 Nov | 4pm | From £33

If romance isn’t your thing and you’re after more of a fast-paced action movie, then this could be the film for you. Starring Bruce Willis as New York policeman John McClane, Die Hard is an undisputed Christmas classic (that’s right, we’re officially labeling it a Christmas film) with bullets and festive cheer all rolled into one adventure. Follow John as he tries to navigate a terrorist hostage situation in a busy tower block and is forced to fight back. After more?Die Hard 2: Die Harder will be screening on Monday 30 November and Die Hard with a Vengeance on Wednesday 9 December too.

Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey | Tue 1 Dec | 8pm | From £38.50

Taking a step back from the Christmas theme, Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey brings excitement and action to the drive-in, with hints of comedy, and of course, all things Harley Quinn. A spin-off story from the new-wave Batman comics, the film focuses on neon-haired heroine Harley Quinn, now ex-girlfriend of the Joker, as she embarks on an unlikely adventure following their split. Full of girl power and excitement, this film isn’t just for Batman fans – and needs to be on your list.

Elf | Fri 11 Dec | 4pm | From £38.50

For a proper feel-good family film, pop down to the drive in cinema on Friday 11 December for Elf, a festive favourite that will leave everyone in the family in fits of laughter and ready for the big day. With Will Ferrell’s humour, the fun never ends in this magical, yet hilarious story of a human raised as an Elf in the North Pole, experiencing big city life for the first time whilst in search for his Dad, who’s ended up on the naughty list.

A Muppet Christmas Carol | Sun 13 Dec | 12pm | From £33

A classic Charles Dickens story but with a twist. Kermit, Gonzo, Miss Piggy and co are the stars of this Christmas favourite about Ebenezer Scrooge, the man (or frog, in this case) who hates Christmas, and the three ghosts who try to give him back his Christmas spirit. Shown on the last day of the Drive-in, A Muppet Christmas Carol is a great way to end Christmas 2020 on a high.
