The tubthumping indie rockers Bis share their special brand of 90s Glaswegian electro-pop with another tour. Promising to take punters back to a time when indie played at joyously bouncy tempos was commonplace, the trio will include a show at Manchester’s Deaf Institute as one of only three England dates on their spring tour, along with two north of the border. Their fourth album, 2014’s Data Panik Etcetera, was their first since the start of the millennium and served as proof that they’re still a bundle of energy to be reckoned with.

Fri 27 May, Deaf Institute, 135 Grosvenor Street, Manchester, M1 7HE. Tel: 0161 276 9350, 7pm, £10, www.seetickets.com
