Scottish post-rock outfit Mogwai have announced their long-awaited return with new album Rave Tapes, out this month. What’s more, the band will also embark on a five-date UK tour to coincide with the album’s release, including two nights at London’s Royal Festival Hall and one night at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, on Monday 27 January. Produced by long-term collaborator Paul Savage, who also worked on the band’s last record Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, the new album offers a shift towards more of an electronic sound for Mogwai, which you can preview with synth-y new track Remurdered here. With seats flying out – their first London date has already sold out – we’re able to offer a pair of tickets to the show to one lucky Manchester Wire reader. To win, send the answer to the question below, plus your name, age, phone number and Twitter handle, in an email (subject line ‘Mogwai competition’) to competitions at manchesterwire dot co dot uk. We’ll be in touch with the winner on Sunday 26 January. Tickets are still available if you want to guarantee your seats for what promises to be one of the first big shows of the year.

This competition is now closed – tickets are still available from the link below, however
