Honey voiced Welsh singer Cate Le Bon returns to Manchester for two performances in the intimate surrounds of Deaf Institute. Her new solo album is called Crab Day and fuses swooping, haunted vocals with a 1960s folk-rock sensibility. A slow and steady rise to fame has seen Le Bon collaborate with Super Furry Gruff Rhys and Perfume Genius, and her voice is a huge draw. If there’s an obvious reference, it’s Nico.
