Following the release of new album, Gardens of Ashes, soulful blues merchant Duke Garwood plays the Deaf Institute this February. Garwood recorded Gardens in the desert, and lead single ‘Coldblooded The Return debuted late last year, with backing vocals from Savages’ Jehnny Beth. It continues Garwood’s collaborative streak following releases in 2013 with former Screaming Trees frontman Mark Lanegan and 2011’s team up with artist Shezad Dawood. The real draw, however, is Garwood’s hauntingly beautiful solo work; seeing him in the intimate surrounds of The Deaf Institute is a must.
