Two of the most largest and most prestigious art fairs in the North; the Buy Art Fair and The Manchester Contemporary are returning this September to grace the walls of Old Granada Studios. Promoting a critical engagement with contemporary art, this joint fair promotes the work of already established artists alongside young talent such as Aliyah Hussain and Nica Chua (image: Tangerine, 2013, marker pen on paper) both of whom have graced Manchester Wire’s pages as ones to watch over the last couple of years. The prints, sculptures and paintings on display will range from £50 to £5000+. Galleries set to take part are Olivia Connelly, Atelier Rose & Gray, Art Republic, Cloud Gallery and Castlefield – who have selected Nico Chan as one of their five ones to watch at this year’s event. This three-day festival will be enriched by guided tours, live music, pop up restaurants, and gallery introductions. Sign up online secure one of the 10,000 free tickets. Manchester Contemporary is the place to find more leftfield, critically engaged work from Castlefield, the International 3 and friends.
