As the winter nights draw in and the temperature drops there’s even more of a reason to get to the safe haven of the bar. Oddest bar in the heart of Chorlton is an ideal spot, with cosy decor, famous roasts, burgers, breakfasts – and a brand new cocktail menu. Original house creations and twists on classics include the Cosmosis, a fruit blend including Chase Marmalade Vodka, and the tropical winter warmer Rum Inside Me, taking in Koko Kanu and Appleton V/X rum plus bananas and cream. Thai’d Up is a modern fusion of spirit du jour, Aba Pisco, fresh watermelon, Thai spices and ginger beer and many more. Fancy sampling some of Oddest’s wares? Simply pop down during happy hour and enjoy selected cocktails for £5/6 and sample some of the finest DJs, quizzes and more as part of Oddest’s weekly entertainment programme. The Open Mic Social takes place every second and fourth Thursdays (the next ones are Nov 10 and 24), or bring your favourite records out with you at Vinyl Appreciation Night (every 1st & 3rd Thu – the next one is Thu 17 Nov). There’s a weekly quiz every Wednesday (entry fees apply), while Taste The Diff’rence DJs bringing their hip hop, funk and all things party to Oddest every Friday 9pm-1.30am.
