It’s been ten years since the BBC took Top of the Pops off the television but this teatime institution lives on as part of a smash hit Friday night party at Mint Lounge. Previous guests include Clint Boon, and TOTP is celebrating three years at the ‘top’ of the game with a silent disco birthday special. Following the mantra of ‘No cheese… plenty to please’, celebrations include a ‘Pops vs Drops’ silent disco with resident DJs going head to head to give you the choice of the finest pop music slammers or the most pumping party hip hop and R&B jammers as you switch your headphones from one DJ to the other (deposit required). Or just take them off and laugh at the absurdity of soundless dancing. There’s something for everyone and almost certainly no Fearne Cotton involvement whatsoever.
