Manchester’s first free Italian festival takes over Cathedral Gardens at the end of June 2017. Open from 11am to 11pm each day, the menu includes food, drink, live music and an Italian party atmosphere. The food market takes in local stalwarts, including meats and cheeses from Salvi’s, bread from Trove, artisan goodies from Cibosano and gelato from Joe Delucci’s. Street food will be on offer, alongside the chance to take in a live cookery theatre, with the team from Nonnas showcasing traditional pasta-making techniques. A 50-metre pizza will be created during the weekend, in a bid to smash the record currently held by Manchester Food and Drink Festival 2016. To quench thirst, there will be an Aperol Spritz Cocktail Bar and Italian beers and wines.
