This exhibition charts the influence of the Manchester Society of Architects on the city’s skyline over the past 150 years by opening up a wealth of drawings and planning materials amassed by the society. Rebuilding Manchester at Renaissance Hotel
Another event with an architecture theme is this three-day exhibition at the Renaissance Hotel. Rebuilding Manchester is a massive graffiti-inspired photo collage of the city’s buildings, collated by artist Richard Cowley. The collage, possibly the biggest of its kind in the world, is arranged in 3D so you can walk straight through it, getting a radical perspective on surroundings we’ve all become accustomed to.

Free for trade members only: Northern Restaurant and Bar Show at Manchester Central
As also featured in this month’s foodie news round-up, the Northern Restaurant and Bar Show makes its way to the indoor expanse of Manchester Central. The vast space is filled with all manner of stalls all toiting the next great thing in dining out. The show also features special guest appearances from chef Simon Rogan and Observer food critic Jay Rayner. This is a free but ticketed event.
