With less than four weeks until Christmas, Odd Bar is the place to party every Friday night with a six-hour happy hour and world-class DJs on the decks. Nic Zube (pictured) takes on the second and fourth Fridays, somehow squeezing the slots into his crammed DJ touring schedule. From penning a deal with Sony, his debut single was picked up by Radio One as its Record of the Week and he’s greeted audiences at major shows such as Bastille, Soul2Soul, London Grammar and Blur. Catch him on Friday 2 & 16 December, entirely free in Manchester’s Odd Bar. Manning the decks on the first and third Fridays of the month (Fri 9 & 23 Dec)  is Lee Majors, a hugely respected local promoter, club night founder and all around hip hop encyclopedia. He’s warmed up for Talib Kweli, Xzibit and Action Bronson. As well as dancing with abandon, find time during Friday’s extended happy hour to sample the peachy prosecco and vodka cocktail, I’ll Meet You Outback, I Should Koko – with cinnamon, lime and coconut rum, topped off with a hunt of chilli – and many more in the special happy hour £5/£6 price bracket. Other offers include pints of Amstel for £3, house wine for £10 and two Sols for a fiver.

Every Friday, Odd Bar, 30-32 Thomas Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester, M4 1ER, Tel: 0161 833 0070, 8pm-late, FREE, www.oddbar.co.uk
