The Makers Market makes a welcome entrance to Chorlton’s independent shopping calendar this Saturday, with plenty of arts, activities, artisan scran and aural delights to bring the community together. This debut into the South Manchester suburb sees Coffee Cranks Co-op serving your brews, Blooming Kiwi clothing your kids and Shrubbies adding colour to your garden. Starting on Manchester Road, the stalls spill into the Oswald Road Primary School grounds and in addition to interior craft and designers Lorna Lucas, Loose Button and Dead Things By Kate (ethical taxidermy), you’ll be wined and dined in the open air by the region’s finest street foodies. They’ve rounded up sizzling sausages (Al’s BBQ), freshly wood fired pizza (Woodstock Pizza) and home cooked curries (Vaso Kitchen), so make a day of it, grab a gift idea or simply soak up the ambience of live music by the Loose Change Buskers while nibbling on Lush Brownies’ taste of chocolate heaven.
