This coming week marks the beginning a new programme of free sport and leisure activities in Manchester’s green spaces. ParkLives (not to be confused with the recent festival) will take place at Heaton, Wythenshawe and Debdale Parks, among others. There will be over a thousand events for all ages and abilities taking place throughout the rest of the year. Events coming soon include Women and Girls Zumba at Platt Fields Park. Here, attendees can burn calories while enjoying this popular Latin-inspired dance craze. You can help to get a healthy body and a healthy mind at Alexandra Park’s Yoga Sessions. New mums might want to try Buggy Bootcamp at Boggart Hole Clough. These hour-long sessions will teach postnatal exercise with a focus on mobility and stamina. Most events require online registration. ParkLives is presented by Manchester Council, in association with that well-known health drink Coca-Cola.
