Home to the Black Pudding Festival which takes place in September, Ramsbottom’s Chocolate Festival rivals its culinary brethren as the best food festival in the town voted one of the top ten places to live in the country by The Guardian. Chocolate makers and fans come from far and wide to show their wares at this two-day event that’s fun for all the family. Look out for raffles, face painting, bouncy castles and more chocolatiers than you can throw a black pudding at. Taking place in the historic St Paul’s Church Gardens of this cobble-stoned old town, this celebration of all things chocolaty looks set to be even bigger than the last few years after scooping the Manchester Tourism Award for best small event in 2012.
