Building on the success of RP Douglas’ first play at the Salford venue (Barbara the Zoo Keeper), Agrippa Productions is back with a new play, directed by Studio Salford’s Mike Heath. Set in 1987, the comedy looks at the lengths a fading superstar will go to preserve fame and celebrity status. We meet the protagonist Marina Oliveto in a plastic surgeon’s laboratory as she is set to go under the knife to restore her youthful appearance, in a ‘Frankenstein meet Dynasty’ style plot. Arriving with a jangle of earrings and a shimmy of shoulder pads, let the comedic cloning of a celebrity commence. With a four night run, booking is advised via the link below.

Wed 15 – Sat 18 Mar, Kings Arms Theatre, 11 Bloom Street, Salford, M3 6AN. Tel: 0161 832 3605, times vary, £10/£8, www.kingsarmssalford.com
