If being served champagne from a converted caravan remains a life-long dream, the launch of the Urban Food Fest in Manchester this February may provide such an occasion. With Londoners no longer hogging the urban foodie stratosphere, the Urban Food Fest on Bridgewater Street brings together 15 street food trucks (including the coveted converted caravan) each Saturday evening to present gourmet global street food. Serving a selection of craft beers, ciders and champagnes, the event also provides the opportunity to sample some edgy, specialist urban cocktails (with not a WooWoo in sight!). With an ever-changing selection of stalls, serving everything from tacos to frogs legs, and plenty of entertainment while you chew, you may find you never want to eat indoors again.

Launches Sat 28 Feb, then every Sat, Euro Car Parks, 2 – 6 Bridgewater Street, M3 4LY, 5pm – 12am, FREE entry, www.urbanfoodfest.com
