Indie rock’s next wave are set to assemble for a day-long celebration of guitar music at Band on the Wall. Reviving 1960s pop-rock sensibilities, but shone through the millennial prism, Band on the Wall’s stage makes room for the floor-filling psychedelics of Vryll Society, the hook-laden riffing of Zuzu and XamVolo’s neo-soul visions in twisted brass. Joining them for a day of dulcet ear-worms are Liverpool’s Lungs, Manc slow-burners Tremors and alt-pop pianist Charlotte Cannon. Between live acts, the Only Joking Records disc jockeys will spin out in the heaven of indie music’s history, present and future. We’re giving away a pair of tickets to the Future Vibes all-dayer. To enter email competitions [at] manchesterwire [dot] co [dot] uk with Future Vibes competition in the subject line.
