The team behind the popular Manchester bar and restaurant, 10 Tib Lane, have officially opened the doors to their brand-new bar.
Posie is described as a ‘social, vibrant, drinks-led space with cocktails and conversation at its forefront’. The 1800 sq ft venue houses 50 covers across two levels, with a cocktail bar at its heart, and is located in the former Phillpots unit in Bruntwood SciTech’s Bloc building.
The drinks menu features an extensive and innovative cocktail collection, as well as a selection of wines, a varied craft beer menu and a full coffee programme. In an early look at the menu, guests can expect creations like the Cacao Nib Negroni made with cacao nib Campari, Plymouth gin and Dolin rouge vermouth, the Vodka Martini with Sipsmith vodka, Dolin dry vermouth and lemon twist and La Isla, a blend of Aperol, almond, Takamaka koko, mango and melon soda and acid.

The kitchen will serve a seasonal menu designed to complement the drinks offering. Whilst the menu will be concise, the team says it will be no less considered than the food at sister venue 10 Tib Lane – think oysters, bar snacks and sharing dishes. There’ll even be an aperitivo and oyster happy hour every Tuesday to Sunday, 12pm – 4pm, with £8 aperitivo and £1 oysters.
Sophie Robson from Posie said: “We’re thrilled to finally be opening the doors to Posie. We’ve put all our passion and expertise into curating a menu that feels fresh and exciting, and into creating a space where people feel comfortable, looked after and relaxed. We can’t wait to welcome guests and show them the best of Posie.”
Matt Pazos, Retail Commercial Manager for Bruntwood SciTech, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Posie to the Bloc community. The team’s unique style is clear to see in the space, transforming it into a beautiful and inviting bar with an innovative menu offering that is testament to their expertise. Posie will make a fantastic addition to Manchester’s food and drink scene and we can’t wait to see how the brand grows in the coming months.”
