Folk songwriter Emily Barker is to perform at Band on the Wall for her first Manchester show since releasing her 2016 album, Sweet Kind of Blue. Now settled in Nashville and Memphis, where she formed her musical trio, Applewood Road, her experiences of life lived in Australia and the UK, including honing her craft with The Red Clay Halo band, have ripened her songwriting palette to blend a delectable bounty of lullabies, also drawing the attentions of TV series music curators for Wallander and The Shadow Line.
