August bank holiday is always a lively one in Manchester, and after the last couple of years — we’ve most certainly earned the extra day of partying this time round.

As ever, Nell’s at Kampus has a packed-out lineup right across the full weekend, ranging from pub quizzes and garden parties to some of the city’s finest DJs taking to the decks. All events are completely free to attend, and Nell’s will be slinging their famous margaritas for just £6 throughout the bank holiday.

For anyone wanting to get a headstart on the weekend, Thursday sees a special Pride edition of QUIZINGO, hosted by the one and only Miss Blair. That kicks off at 7pm and runs through until midnight.

Friday brings a special edition of Hot Take, where DJ Atalaya is on disc duties, spinning house and disco classics from 5pm-10pm.

On Saturday, natural wine favourites Le Social have been drafted in to host an intimate, inclusive party and pop-up wine bar. Guests can expect chuggy Italo Disco, dark electro and new wave bangers until late, with funds also being raised for the Black Trans Foundation.

On Sunday is From Manchester With Love, curated by the brilliant Jenna G some of Manchester’s best musicians and DJs will be on-hand to ensure a fitting end to the festivities in the lush setting of the Kampus garden.
