Proud Fest 2025, a joyful free celebration for LGBT+ families and their allies, returns to the Great Northern Warehouse this August.
A collaboration between the Great Northern and Proud 2 b Parents, the celebrations take over the iconic building on Sat 23 Aug between 12pm – 6pm, promising a day filled with live entertainment, creative activities and playful spaces designed with families in mind.
Created in response to requests from the community, Proud Fest offers a space where LGBT+ families feel seen, celebrated, and welcomed. Running alongside Manchester Pride, the event gives families a chance to join in the city’s celebrations in a way that feels relaxed and inclusive.

Families can look forward to a sand pit and play area, bouncy castles, crafts and creative workshops, Pride-themed Mickey and Minnie characters, live acts and performances, and plenty of stalls and information stands for grown-ups. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.
Matt Taylor-Roberts, CEO of Proud 2 b Parents, said: “We know how important it is for LGBT+ families to have spaces where they feel seen, celebrated and safe. Our community has been asking for the return of a dedicated family festival and I’m so proud we’re able to bring Proud Fest to life in such a fantastic venue.”
Mark Schofield, Centre Director at Great Northern Warehouse, added: “Proud Fest is all about bringing together the diverse families of Greater Manchester for a fun-filled day of celebration, connection and community spirit. It’s a pleasure to be supporting such an important and proud festival right here at Great Northern.”
