On Sun 19 Oct, Aviva Studios welcomes Black trans elder and trailblazing composer Beverly Glenn-Copelend alongside theatre writer, eco-poet and longtime collaborator Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland for a rare, soul-stirring evening of music, storytelling and profound humanity, backed by radically joyous choral energy from the 70-strong, queer-led F*Choir.

Celebrated worldwide for the cult classic Keyboard Fantasies, Beverly Glenn-Copeland’s innovative, form-breaking compositions merge synth-driven experimentation with powerfully spiritual songwriting, receiving long-overdue acclaim in recent years and critical recognition for a lifetime of creative exploration. Alongside him, Elizabeth Glenn-Copeland brings decades of theatre-making, eco-poetry and activism from a career rooted in performance as a tool for connection and community engagement.

As a pair, their artistic symbiosis offers an intimate and soulful blend of music, storytelling and lived experience in an unmissable evening of beauty, insight and resolve that promises to heal and inspire in equal measure.

They are joined by the groundbreaking F*Choir, an inclusive large-scale ensemble that challenges the boundaries of choral singing through bold, dynamic performance. Founded by composer and multi-disciplinary artist Jenny Moore and co-conducted by Bianca Stephens, F*Choir’s oeuvre eschews conventional music styles in favour of work from underrepresented groups including women, trans, non-binary and queer artists.
