Johnny Vegas re-ups Ideal, Kiri Pritchard-McLean is in town for a Slumber Party, and Title Fight returns for more improvised match-ups.
Manchester’s finest night of headlines and headlocks returns this Wednesday after a summer hiatus with a host of the city’s best and most innovative comics. The likes of Steph Bradshaw, Natalia Schwarz and Ariel Hebditch will be slugging it out for the titular ‘Title’ as they create a new show based on the suggestion of their opponent. There’ll also be an appearance from Jain Edwards, who has just returned from an incredibly successful and award-winning Edinburgh Fringe that was long overdue. Go join the homecoming.
Fairfield Social Club hosts another Slumber Party this Saturday as Charlotte Cropper invites another raft of comedians (and of course bestie Beth Moore) for a night of movies, gossip and maybe even a bit of stand-up. Kiri Pritchard-McLean headlines a stellar bill that also includes rising stars Alex Burtulis-Fernandes and Steph Bradshaw as well as the aforementioned Cropper and Moore (who will be focusing on the high school classic ‘Clueless’ in her DVD corner).

Johnny Vegas’ cult sitcom returns to the stage, and at the time of writing, there are exactly three tickets left for the Monday evening performance (though there will likely be returns as the show is running all week). The original ran for seven series and some fifty-odd episodes, and the return seems to have dimmed none of the original show’s inventiveness. Vegas may be older, but his character Moz is no wiser in this dark, hilarious and surreal reboot in the Salford Quays.
