Promising an electrifying evening where symphonic power meets legendary licks, the Hallé take over the Bridgewater Hall this Saturday to celebrate the history, versatility and unique thrill of the guitar.

Led by conductor Stephen Bell, the orchestra joins forces with guitar virtuosos Adam Martin and Alex Voysey, alongside vocalists Emma Kershaw, Steve Trowell and Mick Wilson, to reimagine some of the greatest riffs of all time, from blues and jazz to rock and metal.

Audiences are invited on a mesmerising journey along the fretboard of musical history, with a programme of iconic tracks including Bowie’s strutting, Chic-inspired Let’s Dance, the cosmic frenzy of Hendrix’s Purple Haze, the cascading euphoria of Sweet Child of Mine and many more, each imbued with a new, dazzling orchestral dimension.
