Kieran Hodgson is the Voice of America, Pat Cahill headlines XS Malarkey and Josephine Lacey closes out the Women in Comedy Festival.
Kieran Hodgson has long been the character comedian du jour, and his latest show takes a sideways glance over the pond as he becomes the ‘Voice of America’. In previous shows, he’s taken on cycling (2015’s Lance), classical music (2016’s Maestro), European diplomacy (2018’s ‘75) and life in a new country (2023’s Big In Scotland). In its time of need, perhaps Hodgson and his erudite weaving of personal themes with big issues is just the voice America needs to make it truly great again.
Josephine Lacey helps close out the Women In Comedy Festival this Sunday with her critically-acclaimed show Autism Mama. A fascinating and hilarious stand-up show about a single mum guiding her autistic son through the first stages of puberty. Not the usual topic for a comedy show, but one Lacey imbues with heart and hilarity to make it a must-see.

No comedown for XS Malarkey after their big birthday bash last week as they welcome the incomparable Pat Cahill to headline this Tuesday evening. One of the most original performers in the country, Cahill is always a delight and brings his oddball observations to Malarkey towers for a midweek treat alongside Anna Thomas, Craig Wilson, Dan McKee and MC Toby Hadoke.
