Gig picks: Shayne Ward comes to Aviva Studios this October

Multi-Platinum recording artist Shayne Ward is set for a special homecoming show at Manchester’s Aviva Studios this October.

After skyrocketing to fame as the winner of the second series of The X Factor, Shayne has gone on to sell more than 3 million albums and 5 million singles worldwide, achieving 15 global platinum albums. His debut single, That’s My Goal, was the 2005 Christmas No.1, spending four weeks at the top of the chart — still one of the all-time twenty biggest best-selling debut singles.

He is also, of course, an award-winning actor with a diverse and successful career, including his impactful role as Aidan Connor in ITV’s Coronation Street. In 2024, he expanded his repertoire as a contestant on the hit BBC series Strictly Come Dancing.

Now, 20 years on from X Factor glory, Shayne is set to release his brand-new single, Through The Night, on Fri 1o Oct. Co-written by Ward himself, the track blends a country/pop feel with signature soulful vocals, marking an exciting new chapter.

The upcoming tour, which comes to Aviva Studios on Wed 15 Oct, will not only highlight his new music but also serve as a celebration of two decades since his breakthrough moment, bringing fans on a journey from his chart-topping debut to the present day.
