Footballing icon turned TV presenter and pundit Dion Dublin hosts a night of funk, soul & Motown at the Albert Hall this February.
Happening on Wed 19 Feb, the evening will be raising funds for The Dianne Oxberry Trust, which provides vital support to families affected by cancer across the North West. The Trust continues the legacy of beloved BBC presenter Dianne Oxberry, whose warmth and compassion touched countless lives.
The event will feature the sensational Fillet-o-Soul, an eleven-piece powerhouse band made up of world-class musicians from Jools Holland’s Rhythm & Blues Orchestra and the Strictly Come Dancing Band.
While Dion’s footballing legacy is familiar to most — with a career that spans Manchester United, Aston Villa and Coventry City — music has been another lifelong passion of his. His parents were musicians, and Dion himself is a talented percussionist, songwriter and inventor of ‘The Dube’, a percussion instrument he designed and patented himself, now used by artists around the world, including Courtney Pine, Ed Sheeran, and Sting.
