Later this month, The Hallé hosts a special screening of cult classic The Silence of the Lambs, with the iconic soundtrack performed live by the world-renowned orchestra.

The multi-Oscar-winning film follows FBI agent Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), who is in a race against time to stop a serial killer nicknamed ‘Buffalo Bill’. Hoping it may unlock the answers to this case, she interviews prisoner Dr Hannibal Lecter (Anthony Hopkins), a cannibalistic psychiatrist whose fascination with the young agent is as great as his hunger for murder.

As their relationship develops, Starling is forced to confront not only her own demons, but also an evil so powerful she may not have the courage to stop.

35 years on from its original release, The Hallé revisits Jonathan Demme’s masterpiece, offering fans the chance to experience the film like never before, immersing audiences in Howard Shore’s legendary, atmospheric score.

The Hallé – The Silence of the Lambs: Live in Concert comes to The Bridgewater Hall Sat 31 Jan. Book your tickets below.
