On Sat 31 Jan, indie icon Miles Kane heads to Manchester with a blistering one-off gig at Albert Hall to mark his sixth album, Sunlight In The Shadows.

Produced by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, Kane’s latest record pitches headlong into psych-inflected rock ‘n’ roll across 12 tracks, balancing grit and glamour in equal measure. Lush, screeching guitars sit alongside woozy crooning anthems, with hooks in abundance and the connecting thread of Miles’ inimitable rippled tremolo guitar.

Across a career spanning nearly two decades, Kane has carved out a singular lane as both a solo artist and collaborator, from his early work with The Rascals to his pivotal partnership with Alex Turner in The Last Shadow Puppets. Renowned for his swaggering, high-octane live shows, Kane’s only imminent Manchester date promises another full-throttle outing that sees the Merseyside maverick at the peak of his powers.

In support, Gene Gallagher’s dynamic outfit Villanelle deliver bold, energetic indie sounds with unrepentant edge and timeless bravado, as they continue to gain momentum in the UK scene.
