From dub techno chess clubs over in Stretford to a full-evening set by local legend Levi Love at Bar Shrimp – here’s our rundown of the best free things to do in Manchester this week…

CONDUCT CONVENTION | CUPRA | Thu 12 Feb | 6pm - 10pm

CUPRA City Garage will be hosting CONDUCT CONVENTION this week, a headline live conversation hosted by Manchester MC and producer Strategy. The event welcomes The D.O.C. for a rare public appearance and live discussion.

The D.O.C. is widely recognised as one of the most influential writers in hip-hop history. A key creative force behind N.W.A., he helped shape landmark releases including Straight Outta Compton, before going on to work closely with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg on era-defining records such as Nuthin’ But A G Thang.

Framed as an open conversation rather than a traditional talk, CONDUCT CONVENTION brings together artists, producers and creatives for discussion, questions and shared insight.
