A Taste of Altrincham returns later this month, bringing with it 10 days of culinary celebrations that spotlight the town’s thriving food and drink scene.

Running from Fri 27 Feb – Sun 8 Mar, A Taste of Altrincham features a packed programme spanning everything from workshops and chef demonstrations to supper clubs and wine tastings hosted by local venues and hospitality figures.

The event’s full programme was unveiled by Altrincham BID last week at Everyman Cinema, alongside a brand-new Visit Altrincham app, which will play a central role in A Taste of Altrincham by exclusively hosting offers and promotions throughout the celebrations and beyond.

Among the standout events is Blanchflower Does Dinner, a rare evening opening from the popular bakery and café, offering a four-course dinner focused on hyper-local, seasonal ingredients and bold, thoughtfully crafted dishes, while wine lovers can enjoy a Wine & Cheese Night at Alibi, pairing five wines with five cheeses in a relaxed, social setting.

The programme also includes a strong line-up of talks and hands-on workshops. In Conversation with Emma Thackray, founder of gut-friendly drinks brand Hip Pop, will explore how a kitchen experiment grew into a nationally stocked business, sharing insights into building a values-led brand.

Shere Khan Kitchen will be leading a samosa chaat workshop, Amy Regan from Kit:ch will be helping foodies create their own charcuterie cup, and the renowned MOST Bakery will be hosting a sourdough masterclass, led by co-owner Matt, a finalist in the 2025 Baking Industry Awards.

There will be plenty on offer for children and families throughout. Creative craft workshops with OYEZ Arts sit alongside hands-on cooking sessions for little chefs, delivered by Cook Stars and Cheshire Cookery School. Adding a competitive edge to the celebrations is Altrincham’s Ultimate Pudding Competition, inviting amateur bakers to show off their skills and compete for the title of Altrincham’s best dessert. Mandy White, Director at Altrincham BID, said: “A Taste of Altrincham has grown in its second year, and this programme really reflects the creativity and variety of our independent businesses. With events for families and food lovers, it’s a fantastic opportunity to explore the town and enjoy everything it has to offer.”

Carl Newton, CEO at Myerson Solicitors, A Taste of Altrincham’s headline sponsor, added: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring A Taste of Altrincham and supporting an event that brings together food, drink, creativity and community. The programme is incredibly strong, with something for all ages, and we’re really looking forward to seeing people enjoy what promises to be a fantastic celebration of the town.”
