The ground floor of Ducie Street Warehouse is set to reopen as a 15,000sq ft food and drink hall this summer.
Going by the name Manchester Street Food, the concept will feature 11 food traders, two bars, a games room and two stages featuring live entertainment. The 32-seat mini cinema that became a fixture of Ducie Street’s offering will also be retained.

The project is being headed up by the team behind Edinburgh Street Food, which opened back in 2023. Housed in the Grade II listed warehouse, which closed its ground floor towards the end of last year, Manchester Street food will boast 450 internal covers, a 75-cover private hire space, and a terrace with room to accommodate a further 180 covers.
Ben MacMillan, managing director of Edinburgh Street Food, said: “Manchester has always been a city with incredible energy, creativity and a love of food, so bringing our concept here in this stunning venue is a natural and exciting next step.
“We want to create a space brought to life by local artists which celebrates the city’s culture and provides line up independent traders and brewers a city centre platform to shine.”

MacMillan added: “We’ve seen how much people embraced the spirit of ESF in Edinburgh and we know Manchester, with its energy and hunger for innovation will take it to another level.”
Manchester Street Food is expected to open this summer and create 180 jobs.
