Satirical comedy is having a bit of a resurgence at the moment. After the world seemed too insane to even begin to start critiquing over the last decade, the return of Mock The Week and the success of Weekend Update on SNL UK satire is palatable once more. Step forward, then, Alex Kealy, one of the country’s best young satirists, who will be bringing his whip-smart wares to XS Malarkey this Tuesday to skewer the world once more.

Taking place on April Fools’ Day (naturally), this Wednesday will be the first-ever Live Comedy Day as the nation looks to comedy for a good time when they need it most. The Frog & Bucket are championing the new initiative and has put a hefty lineup behind it for a Wednesday night.
